Detector

Detector Thresholds determine the particle size/number of events to collect. For most studies on cells and beads (generally between 3-7 μm diameter) the default detection threshold is fine. You can change the Thresholds as well as the number of events with the drop-down menus.

If you are interested at looking at smaller particles (bacteria, cellular organelles, etc.), lowering the Threshold allows you to collect data on these smaller objects. You can set an additional Threshold with the drop-down menu under None. When you select a channel, the Threshold number box next to it is enabled.
